I built a tool to make DJI footage feel like film

Introducing Cinephoria16™ - a complete 16mm grading pack for DJI creators

Every time I came back from a shoot with my Pocket 3 or the newest Action 6, I'd spend hours trying to get my footage to feel the way I imagined it in the field. Cinematic, warm, organic. Like something that had been captured on a real roll of film. After enough late nights in DaVinci Resolve, I realized I was building the same thing over and over. So I decided to build it once, properly… and share it with anyone who shoots the way I do.

That's how Cinephoria16™ was born.

Bring the warmth, grain and character of 16mm film to your DJI footage - without spending hours behind a grade.

Why 16mm?

There's a reason filmmakers still talk about 16mm in reverential tones. It's a format defined by imperfection - a natural grain structure, halation around highlights, a slight softness in the shadows and a warmth in the midtones that digital cameras simply cannot reproduce straight out of the box. It's the look of indie cinema, music videos and travel documentaries that feel like they were shot on something real.

DJI cameras, especially shooting in D-Log M, capture incredible dynamic range - but that flat, desaturated log image needs a destination. Cinephoria16™ is that destination.

What's inside the pack

I wanted Cinephoria16 to work for every creator, no matter what editing software they use. So the pack is built around two core components:

  • 10 cinematic LUTs (.cube format) - Drop them directly into Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro or any software that supports .cube files. Instant transformation, zero setup.

  • DaVinci Resolve PowerGrade with 11 nodes - A fully built, adjustable grade covering halation, film grain, softness, radial blur, tilt-shift, vignette and more. A finished look you can dial in.

  • Instructions - Clear, step-by-step guide to get up and running fast.

For DaVinci Resolve users, it goes deeper

The LUTs are powerful on their own. But if you work in DaVinci Resolve, the PowerGrade is where Cinephoria16™ really comes alive. It's not a single-node color transform - it's a full 16mm film emulation pipeline, with every characteristic of the format broken out into its own adjustable node.

Halation blooms around practical lights. Grain sits naturally in the image rather than floating on top. Softness rolls off the edges. Tilt-shift draws the eye. You don't need to build any of this from scratch - it's all there, ready to adjust to your specific shot.

Who is this for?

If you shoot travel content, lifestyle videos, music videos or cinematic scenes / short films and you want your footage to carry real texture and character without spending hours on a grade, Cinephoria16™ was made for you. It's fast enough to use on every project and deep enough to give you genuine creative control when you want it.

I built this because I needed it myself. Everything in the pack comes from real-world use. From actual travel shoots, real locations, real light. That’s what makes it work the way it does.
